_project Name: Sushi Malaga
_location: Malaga, Spain
_brief: To create a contemporary, open-plan feel whilst maximizing the number of potential covers.
_considerations: To be able to change the layout of the space in order to host functions and private parties focusing on a centralized cooking area.
_response: The design focuses on the use of extensive glazing which naturally enhances the feel of openness and makes full use of the views over Málaga. Rather than build two floors use is made of a mezzanine level which fulfils the client's brief on number of covers, but also keeps the feeling of spaciousness. The hard-surface walls emulate the exterior of a building to give the impression of dining al fresco.
